The equipment hire season is in full swing and with the Easter holidays underway across the country, Sharrocks is launching its Guarantee to Beat offer.
From now until July 1, Sharrocks will beat by 10% like-for-like quotations from alternative providers for equipment hire businesses. This applies to if you are a new customer or if you are an existing client shopping around.

Cover can be tailored to your specific business model based on your demands and needs, with public and products liability cover ranging from £1million to £10million.
A key part of the policy Sharrocks offers is that the liability cover extends to when your equipment is out on hire anywhere in the UK – even when you’re not with it, which is exactly when you need it.
Businesses can also choose to add cover for the equipment itself, to protect your investment whether your equipment is in storage, in transit and while it’s out on hire unattended.
Alan Doucy, Sharrocks’ Managing Director, says a common misconception is that a disclaimer is enough protection for a business.
He added: “While things like disclaimers and hire agreements are useful tools for your business and can be used to demonstrate good practices in the event of a claim, they will not protect you or your business if someone or their property is injured in relation to your business activities.
“Simply saying you wouldn’t be liable on a disclaimer does not mean someone can’t lodge a claim against you and that could be very costly.”
Sharrocks also offers Employers’ Liability cover for those equipment hire businesses who need it – it is a legal requirement for a Limited Company which has more than one director, or any employees or volunteers.
Equipment hire businesses can also add legal expenses cover too, for an extra £25.00 for the year. This would give you access to a 24/7 legal advice line so you are able to call for assistance at the point you need it, rather than waiting for the opening hours of high street operators. This could be for tax or compliance issues, or advice on how to best approach contractual disputes with your own clients. The Guarantee to Beat offer runs until July 1, 2022, unless stated otherwise. Evidence of alternative quotations will be required and must be for business we are able to quote for within our equipment hire scheme, this does exclude inflatable play equipment.
